Class A Learner's Permit: Before being allowed to operate the truck you will need to obtain your Commercial Learner's Permit from any California DMV Office. We do offer study guides and learning materials to help you prepare for your Written Test which consists of four components: General Knowledge, Air Brakes, Combination & Class C Car Knowledge.
Good Driving Record: You will need to obtain a Driver Record Printout from the DMV to show that you are not a dangerous driver (Ticket & Accident History)
Current Medical Examination: You will need to provide the school with a complete copy of your Medical Examination, which the DMV also requires before issuing a Commercial Learner's Permit.
D.O.T. Drug Test: Before being allowed to operate a Commercial Motor Vehicle on the road, you must first pass A D.O.T. Regulated Drug Test.
Willing to Learn Mentality: Possibly the most important factor, a positive willing to learn and can do attitude will be the deciding factor in how long it will take you to master all components of our program.

ON THE ROAD DRIVING
One of the last things you will need to master is driving on the road, you will be taught various techniques to control & maneuver a Semi-Truck on the road.

We realize that not everyone is able to attend Monday - Friday 8 AM - 5 PM, so we have a range of flexible schedules to accommodate our students.
Our instructors have a minimum of 10 years of Commercial Vehicle Experience, so any questions you may have can easily be answered and explained in a simple manner.
One thing that we can not emphasize enough is how important safety is in regards to driving a Commercial Vehicle, as in the wrong hands it is a weapon, so it must be treated with respect.
